Girl scout camp...

On Wednesday I dropped Lindsey off at Girl Scout camp. It was a horse themed camp where for 3 days they got to learn about horses etc... She doesn't go with a troop you sign up individually. Lindsey was so excited to go. One of the things I love and admire about Lindsey is her outgoing nature. She isn't shy or afraid to try new things. She goes in with a good attitude. This quality is a great one to have.
Here she is when I was dropping her off...

She could not call home or anything during her time away so I was dying to know how it went. I just talked to her on the phone. She was going straight to another camp out with Alan so I did not get to pick her up. She was so thrilled with every thing she did and had a great time. I love that she is so brave and happy. She said she made tons of friends. I don't doubt it. Lindsey has never met a person she thought was a stranger.

What a great opportunity for her! I don't know what I would do if I couldn't talk to Grace for 3 days though and she was away from me.

That is such a great characteristic to have. I'm sure that will pay her great dividends as she gets older.

But really, what little girl doesn't like horses, huh? :)

What a brave girl! I can't imagine Jack being away and not know how he is doing. I went away for a MONTH when I was his age and I hated it. My sister is just like your Lindsey. Shae made friends easily and always loved camp. I wish I was more like that as a kid. Its a great attribute!

Lindsey was so excited about the girls scout camp when she got to the ward camp out. She had her camp shirt on and went around and told everyone how much she loved it. Good job on the hair it was still holding up when she got to the second campout. I will have to remember that.

Oh yes, I remember Lindsey introducing herself to strangers when she was three years old!

Now why aren't you on the camp out with Alan and Lindsey?

How fun! She will remember these trips for the rest of her days. My two older girls went on an over nighter with the local girl scout unit. They had a good time.

I am so glad she had fun. It's great that her friend was able to go with her. She will cherish those memories!
