Sorry for my absence. Last week was a whirlwind. We had activities everyday and every night. By the end of last week I felt like I was running a race with no break. I hope the rest of summer can slow down a bit. With all the kids at home I do doubt that.
Saturday we spent the day at the lake. This at the end of my week felt a little stressful because all I wanted was a day to do nothing. I guess I got what I asked for (without knowing it). The lake was relaxing and fun (we left the twins home with grandma and grandpa). At one point I was riding the jet ski (alone) with the wind racing by and I felt amazing. All the stresses of laundry, fighting children, and non stop activities were gone. I felt like me.

Jacob spent hours at the shore. This child amazes me by his ability to entertain himself with almost anything. It's really wonderful. Jacob was my jet ski pal and rode with only me. I enjoyed watching him learn to enjoy fast speeds and totally trust me. It was a bonding thing. His hair was so cool, as he rode in the wind his blond hair just stood straight up.
The kids just loved playing at the shore (cousins Cali, Jacob and Andrew).

Ignore my whiteness. I am all about sunscreen and wrinkle prevention.

I can so relate to all those everyday stresses!! Love the pics!
How fun! I'm glad you had a break from the daily routine and were able to let go! I hope I can do the same on an upcoming lake getaway....one large problem though...noone to help with the twins!
I'm glad you had a fun day.
don't worry about the white skin, it just means your royalty.....At least thats what I always tell people when they comment on mine. My moms family started calling me the "porcelain princess" a long time ago.
Your day at the lake looks so fun! Glad you got a moment or two to be "You" again without being just "mom."
Looks like so much fun. I grew up water skiing, jet skiing and hanging out on lakes. :) I LOVE Seadoos and the autonomy they give you. The pictures are so cute. I'm all about whiteness, except this summer. I started fake tanning before Mexico because I don't want my trip ruined by a burn. I'm NOT diligent about sunscreen. LOve your new signature button! Have you done this all yourself?
Love all the pics. Looks like so much fun and a much needed break for you! I'm all about the sunscreen too- cancer prevention.
Looks like fun and Lindsey's hair is cute and perfect for jet skiing!

Great photos! We are headed to the beach in a week and a half and i can't wait!
I am totally with you in the wrinkle prevention.
This weather is perfect for a day at the lake.
Lauren asked to go to the beach the other day. We weren't frequent beach-goers in CA, but her request made me miss it!
Good to at least have a few good lakes nearby.
