The end of an era...

My heart string are pulling. Today was the last day of Kindergarten. Jacob has come so far. He has learned to write, all his letters/sounds, and even read. It has been a great year. He has blossomed at school. All I can think about now is the summer being over and first grade. Going to school all day for Jacob. I thought being tied down to kindergarten would be a pain, and it is, but having Jacob home every day with us (in the mornings) has been amazing. He helps with the girls. I am not ready to let him go... With Lindsey I was naive to how quickly it all passes and I was a bit overwhelmed with the twins. It seems like yesterday she was the one in first grade and she will be in fourth grade next year! I know all to well how fast this all goes. So today I am feeling like an extra hug from my big boy.

Jacob threw the football to his Grandpa for the talent show
Jacob and his teacher. He is now missing his top two teeth and his bottom two teeth.

The kids almost knocked over their teacher with their BIG hug!

He's so cute! Although Vivi just turned 3, I know those years are around the corner. The time is flying so quickly, and I, too, dread that letting go.

It does go quickly, doesn't it? My girls don't end school until next week, and I'm really sad that they are moving on. They have such great teachers, and I'm not ready for 1st and 3rd grade. It just seems so old. Have a great summer, Jacob!

Oh, it's been a long week because it's definately made me think about who else influences are children when they leave home. He'll do great, he sounds amazing!

Oh that picture at the end is just adorable! I hope you have her e-mail so you can send it to her! She'd LOVE it!!

I felt the same way when Gracie walked out of the school on her last day of Kindergarten. I got all choked up. I wasn't expecting to feel that way. Gracie wasn't expecting me to act that way either. She just looked at me and said, "It's just school, Mom!!"

I don't even want to think about how fast it goes by. I think it's awesome that they had a talent show. How special for his grandpa to come and catch the football from him!
