I love this quote and it goes along nicely with what I wrote in my previous post.

"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he's been robbed. The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people. Most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey, filled with delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas, and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride" Gordon B. Hinckley

Hard doesn't always mean unhappy.

Well said... by both of you. Thank you for sharing and helping me to remember that happiness is what you make, not what you find.

Amen! Life is an adventure I always say. The good, the bad and the ugly are all part of the adventure and wouldn't it be boring if it was always easy? The hard parts push us to the next level of enlightenment and happiness. "The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." Couldn't have said it better myself! Thank Laura!

Thanks for visiting my blog back. Thanks for bringing this quote to my attention, I don't think I'd heard Pres. Hinkley say this. I'm going to go write it in my quote book. I did not get any Becky Higgins school kits. Honestly, I visited her blog to watch the video and see exactly what was included and by then they were sold out. Oh well. I've been scrapping less lately. Maybe they'll offer then again, but I doubt it. By the way, it is snowing. . . again!
