It's official I am acting like a teenager. I love Twilight. I have read all the books (and reread them). I was crazy over the movie coming out. So when Thursday came I was all over the midnight showing. We headed out and brought our books to discuss at dinner, a very long dinner. After that we headed out to the movie. It was packed to the rim! Thank goodness my theater always only does reserved seating. I was glad to see there were grown women a lot crazier than me dressed up in Prom dresses (that would never be me) etc ...
I loved the movie. Every minute of it. The only thing I would have wanted as well, more... Having read the book you know what is missing (isn't that always the case). So some of my favorite scenes were missing, moments gone. I figure those having not read the books would not have such high standards.
I'll be back.
Is there anyone out there as juvenile as me? Well, considering the crowd of adult women at the movie, I think I have my answer. I think I love Twilight book series because it brings me back to high school, to those feelings of young love the excitement of it all. I once read that Twilight was about finding first love, New Moon was about loosing it, Eclipse was about choosing it, and Breaking Dawn was Life with true love, I agree with that description. I know a lot of people did not love New Moon but having been through a painful break up I fully related to Bella and her feelings.
Waking up the next morning at 7am after getting to bed at 4am was a good way to remember who I am and that my life includes little ones and not much time to be so silly.

Thanks girls who joined in on the fun!

Glad you got out with the girls! We all need some down time from being mom every once in a while. Sadly I went alone to see twilight. Does going to safeway before the movie count as having a good time? :)
I was sooo tired yesterday, 4:00 am bedtime is not good when you have to get up with 5 kids. Good thing this will only happen every couple years righ? :)
That was lots of fun. I loved the movie. I thought the casting was done really well. Thanks for inviting me.
I am glad to see you made it out of the parking lot.
I went and saw it last night and thought it was okay. I loved the books. Honestly, the girl who played Bella got on my nerves. I loved all the Cullens though.
Have you read Hunger Games yet. I'm almost done with it...really like it too.
I am right ther with you. I think It is crazy how much I liked the movie. I loved everyone they cast. Especially Edward of course and Bella was perfect. Just as I pictured both of them. Thank you for a really fun night.
You'll be happy to know I am caving! I started the first book today!
To answer your question, we went to the new theater in Ogden. They also have assigned seating which I LOVE! I don't think I would have been up to standing in line for hours and then fighting for a good seat. The only line I stood in was for treats!:)
I love that you went to the midnight show- how cool are you!!!
You have convinced me to read the books. i have heard so many good things. i am hoping i like them better than harry potter (I never could get into those).
Me and nine of my friends -some older and some younger - went to see it yesterday. :o)
I am sooooo with you on this! Granted I have yet to read the series, but my girlfriend loaned them all to me and as soon as I get some free time from the twins- I will be sucked in. :) Nothing like a good movie with a hot vampire and romance to get us Mommies in the mood! LOL
Still haven't read them...I have them, I just have to stay awake to read them!!!
It is so fun to give into the inner teen:) I love the whole Twilight saga and the movie was so much fun! I think the cast was a little off for me but it was still great:)
I haven't seen it yet. I had the chance while we were out of town, but I decided to stay at the hotel and take my girls swimming with Mike. I want Mike to go see it with me anyway.
My sisters (who have read the book) said the same thing as you- they wanted more of their favorite scenes, but my dad and bro-in-law (aren't they cool for seeing it!?!) both said having not read the book, the movie moved at just the right pace.
I am excited to see it.
