It's beginnning...

Yesterday I woke up to look outside and see this...

So I cancelled my errands because it was way too slippery and still really snowing and I went home and cleaned, and made cards, and even did some Christmas shopping online. All inside in the warm house.

When I picked Jacob up from school he was bursting with excitement to get home and shovel the driveway and chip the ice. Yes, you read that right. My son spends hours outside on my steep driveway shoveling and chipping away. It all started here.
When I got home he spent two hours outside working with small amounts of play. When we went to his parent conference at school it was so icey I still could not get up the driveway so he hopped outside of the car and began chipping more ice away.

I guess winter arrived with a bang. Last week we were at the pumpkin patch and it was too warm for sweaters.

I'm sending a quad mama your way. (Kami Lambe) She's possibly got momos in the mix.

Wow. You are kidding. That is a bang. I am so not ready for cold weather yet. Thankfully in California it's still in the 70's. :)

What a sweet boy you have.

Wow Laura, you really got hit! I was totally expecting that much after watching the news, but we only got a sprinkle of snow. Looks like more on Sunday?!!

How can you have snow when it's still cold here!

Cards look great and I wish I could harness the power of the Oliver girls for good!

That's a lot of snow. I remember Jacob doing this last winter too. He's such a great kid. Your Christmas cards look fantastic! It was 80 something here today. Crazy.

Goodness, that snow is gorgeous... I don't think I'm quite ready for it yet, though. Love the cards - I'm jealous you got a headstart on Christmas!

My boys would be so jealous of the snow, not the shoveling! All they have to look forward to is raking leaves forever! It is supposed to be 80 today so I am heading to the park!

Wow! I'm NOT ready for that scene yet, but I supposed it is on the way. We went from 70s to 40s, and I think snow is possible over the weekend.

LOVE your cards. You must be so organized with your supplies. I haven't even thought about what I'll do this year! In fact, don't know if I'll make them or not....maybe just a few special ones!

Love your cards, you're incredibly crafty!

Oh, I feel jealous, but only because I am NOT the one digging out of the driveway. I know you know what winter is like here...

just this week.

love you cards! SO CUTE! and perfect use of the day since it was too icy to go running around doing errands.
that is awesome he likes to shovel the snow and ice.
HOLY COW. i could never imagine living like that. i'd never leave my bed. i don't do well with the cold.
whoohoo for cleaning too. that is awesome. and it doesn't get done when people are busy doing errands. my house goes to crap the more i'm gone . and with too much time home too. hmmm. wonder why that is. i need the perfect balance of gone and home time to keep a clean house.

What a good guy Jacob is. He is such a hard worker. Good for him.
I love those cards, simple design with just three colors but lots of fun embellishments. Totally works. Sometimes I think it would be nice if it snowed here, then we would not have to mow or lawns and pull weeds all year round. ;) WEll, mabye for just a month. Californians can't even drive in the rain. ;)

WOW! That is crazy. How does the weather change so fast? But kudos to your boy for shoveling all that snow. He is going to make such a good husband one day:)

great cards! Anyway I can talk you into joining OUR wards card club next year?!?!

I was so excited to see it snowing outside this week, that is until I realized it wasn't stopping and that meant an hour of shoveling snow! At least you got little healpers who really can be of help!

I'm so not ready for snow!!! I am very impressed with you already getting cards and shopping done. I hope your little snow shoveler keeps it up all winter. Your Halloween looked great. Love the costumes. Moab looked fun too. I am already missing the short sleeved weather. Hope to see you soon. Love ya!

I agree. When I looked outside and saw all the snow I tried to just stay home. Jacob is such a great kid. He must be pretty strong. The snow was really heavy.

Your cards look great. I can't wait to see what the other people in the group did.
