Tonight (after a lot of trouble getting kids to stay in bed) Hailey asked me to go to the bathroom, because bathroom trips are often excuses to get out of bed, I said no. Hailey responded with, "Mom I am Hailey in the kitty jammies that was Sydney in the flower jammies before". Apparently she feels has to prove her identity to use the bathroom.
Recently their preschool teacher told me a boy was playing with Hailey and asked the teacher, "where is that girl who has a girl who has the same face as her"?
Oh and for the record I knew it was Hailey kitty jammies, flower jammies or naked. I just know.

Oh that's just too funny! Love the preschool boy's comment as well.
I love the way kids think!
Jenna had identical twins in her class - they have since moved away - and she said, "Why do they have the same face?!?!"
How funny! I can just imagine the tricks they'll play as they get older. I love how she thought YOU needed help identifying who was who:)
That has to be hard sometimes to have everyone confuse you with your sister. They probably find comfort in the fact that you know who they are.
Kids are so funny. It sounds like your kids and mine are related or at least they took lessons from the same person on how to get out of things....lol
Yikes, I've always wondered how you tell them apart but never wanted to ask....now I have my answer!!
Seriously funny! Don't you just love the things kids say??
;)
♥ Too funny! My sister has Identical girls too and she can tell no matter what too. Me however not so much! Love the little boys comment!
Olivia started calling my sisters twins Andrica... Her twins are Andrea and Erica... I guess she figures she covers both of them that way! :)
So funny. I cannot wait till we get those types of 'tricks' pulled on us. We aren't even pooty trained yet and Addee still asks to use the potty after we have put her to bed.
so funny! she's a smart cookie.
LOL. That is cute. I heard you had more adventures with your bathrooms yesterday. (???)
That is too funny! I love watching little personalities come to life and have wondered how having an identical sister will play into it all.
Too funny!
I love that! You are going to cherish these little words of wisdom from them years later.
Hilarious! I love that the preschool boy knew that Sydney was missing.
Good thing we don't rely on clothes to tell our kids apart or you'd be in real trouble since you usually dress them alike.
I LOVE her explanation!
So cute that she thought you needed help telling her and her sister apart. I'mwith you. I just know. People always say they don't benieve me but I don't really think they look alike!!
I love this!! She is so funny and smart and feisty! I love the question from the little boy...too funny!
Love it - that is hilarious! Oh the funnies that come with twins!
Too cute! I think I'll have to link to this post, as it has reminded me of something the boys did this weekend!
I just love your girls and their stories!
That is so cute and funny that she thought she could trick you and that you would give in....
ha ha ha that is really funny
That is too funny! Grace and Ella get truly offended if we mistake one for the other. Probably their mother's influence. I have always wanted them to be confidently themselves and I would get offended if someone mistook them.
