Yesterday I received a pie as a Thank you! It also had a nice thoughtful card. It made my day. It got me to thinking how many moments I let pass and forget to offer true thanks. It feels so good to be appreciated, to be noticed. I challenge you to find someone in your life to do this for. I am going to do that. I will report back! I think all of us have a need to be noticed and appreciated.
I also wanted to tell all my readers how much I appreciate their kind comments. I look forward to my comments every day. Thank you for leaving them.
Okay sounding very cheesy now...

i wonder though, since it was a thanks for something, are you obligated to send a thanks for the thanks? just wondering. and thank you for the fabulous comments you leave me. i truly enjoy them.
♥ The unexpected thank you always makes my day too! :)
I love seeing someones face when they recieve something out of the blue and for no reason!
THANK YOU is surely a strong word.
I'm thinking about your challenge, I might do it and let you know when I'm done (or when I decided to quit...)
I know how you feel! I always try to say thanks to everyone who leaves a comment and to do thank yous for people who do kind deeds for me and my family.
I love this tip! I have let many moments pass by that I could have and should have shown my deep gratitude. I am definitely going to keep this in mind. Thanks!
Mmmm pie. Now that is a good thank you! I will have to think of someone to make one for... and then make an extra for myself!
Great example, thanks Laura!
What an awesome way to say thank you! And you are right, we all need to make time to say a special thank you more often.
This is a great tip! Everyone loves to be appreciated. Especially if it is done in a special way. I also love comments-cheesy or not. I think you're great!
Good reminder! I love getting little notes of appreciation. I used to be so good at sending them out to others-till children happened. Thanks to your post, I am going to rededicate myself to doing that again!
Wow, I want a pie, too! I'm going to have to work on my thank you's. Thanks for the reminder!
It is so nice to be recognized. I need to be better showing my thanks to people.
Great post Laura. We do need to remember to be more grateful for things/people in our lives.
A pie is a yummy thank you! I have two people in mind for your challenge. Thanks!
you are so right! i have been thinking about this a LOT lately!!! and talk about nice comments!!! thank YOU, missy! sheesh. you make me blush!!!
What a great challenge!! Thank you!! Your comments help to keep me blogging...I look forward to them with every post!! I'll repot back when I complete the challenge.
aww, that is so sweet! your right, the unexpected thank you's are the best! that is a great challenge to pass along to us. i will have to think of someone now! i hope you have a great week!
I was just thinking about giving thanks today when I was at a store and saw a beautiful bookmark. I thought of my friend Kellie who has been struggling with infertility for 8 years. Throughout my pregnancy and everything that went along with it she remained a good friend to me although I knew inside it was killing her. I bought her the bookmark which has a beatiful butterfly on the end of it. I will send it with Thanks and for hopes of some new life within her this year. She has a new exciting treatment for her infertility coming up so hopefully it will bring her some luck.
It is nice to be appreciated!
Thank YOU for your dedication to the momo website. You were such a rock for me while I was inpatient. Thank YOU for your blog. It inspired me to begin, and I love reading about you and your family. Thank YOU for the surprise in my recent Ebay purchase!!! You are such a kind and genuine person.
You are so right. I'm going to think about how to do this more often. I have a friend who is very very good at this and I probably should take a leaf out of her book.
I wanted to say thank you to you as well - your work on the momo website is so important to every momo mother who comes across it. Without access while I was inpatient would have been absolutely terrible and I really felt that if I needed information fast it would be the only place I would be able to acess it.
