I "thought" my stomach felt off because of the few french fries I had sampled (I don't eat many of those) or the perfume I had tried from Sephora, maybe it was drinking too much water? After several hours and worsening symptoms I knew why my stomach was sick! I spent the early hours of the night sick to my stomach with body aches and the chills. I sent Alan downstairs so I could keep the light on and suffer without waking him. That was not the best choice because at 3am Sydney woke up throwing up too. If I thought waking up in the night to throw up was bad on a normal night it was MUCH worse when I was feeling that sick too. I thought I could barley walk but somehow I took care of her too. It was awful! I decided to not get Alan to try and keep him from getting sick too. I found Hailey this morning on her floor crying "My Sydney My Sydney" because Sydney was sleeping in my room. I spent the day in bed with Sydney by my side feeling awful. Jacob tried to help out with Hailey,he was a pretty good babysitter. It was very surprising how much easier Hailey was without Sydney to help cause trouble. I somehow managed to feed the kids and do the laundry it's been a hard day and Alan works late... No sick days for moms.

Oh no, I am so sorry. Moms should NOT get sick!!! IT is so unfair!! I am so sorry that Alan could not take a sick day. That is even more hard when he has to work and late too!! Michael gets a lot of personal days, so I get one week (out of his 5) a year to call as "sick days" for myself. This just started so we'll see how it goes.
I'm sorry to hear you and your little one isn't feeling well. I hope you feel better soon.
We got the ickies over here, too. I so feel what your going through!!
so sorry to hear that this stomach flu is making its rounds all over the country! I couldn't imagine waking up sick at night and a little later taking care of one of the children (mine were sick during the day and slept at night). You are a super woman! and have my respect!
Claudia
POOR POOR YOU! Although, we could've kept each other company for awhile. I did the same thing last night. Came home from Fazoli's and thought "Hmmm don't feel well" by 9:45 or so I had been in the bathroom twice and had chills and aches. My husband came to check on me and I told him that the bug was kicking my butt!"
Thank GOODNESS I had some nausea meds from morning sickness. At 4 in the morning Isaiah woke me telling me his tummy hurt...but he didn't actually get sick.
I can't imagine feeling bad and cleaning up after a little one. I agree with Claudia - you ARE superwoman!!! I'm going to pray for your speedy recovery!
I agree that moms should not get sick! There should be some divine law out there barring illnesses from striking mothers of young children!
The only thing worse than being sick is being sick with sick kids. I hope you feel better.
I'm so, so sorry to read this. Thank goodness for sweet Jacob and Hailey behaving.
Yikes...you are right--no sick days for moms. Hope you feel better quickly!
I hope you're all feeling better and that it doesn't linger! My twins get in much less trouble when they're not together too! :)
