Every year I love to go to the home shows in my area. It's a fun place to get decorating ideas... and to dream.
I got my bottom braces on this very morning. It's been so painful. Amazingly I had forgotten how much it hurts from January.
Did I tell you I am getting a craft room in my basement? Not so fancy as this...
A dreamy kitchen...
This is the color I made Alan paint one of our basement rooms. He has been unsure of the color so when I saw it all over my favorite house I was sure to take pictures to show him how great it is. It's from restoration hardware and its called silver sage.
The girls came along and did remarkable well considering. I guess its a little like playing house. This was in a huge shower. Bigger than their whole bathroom.
Last week was the last week of school for the big kids. We made everyday count. Lot's of errands, and lunch. We were gone everyday all day. In the end I have piles of laundry and tons of cleaning waiting for me this week...

i love silver sage too! and i love going to the parade of homes, just not with my 2 yr old... great ideas for decorating! how is the basement coming along? i still want to see your playroom!
I need to hit some home shows too. I am a beginner when it comes to decorating but I am sure that perusing lovely homes would be super helpful!
I need to go to the parade of homes sometime. Maybe it would give me some decorating ideas. I always wish that my house could be all fancy a decorated, but when I think about what to do it just makes me tired. Maybe I should start small. I love the silver sage.

i maxed out my last week before school got out too. i'm still catching up from my week off. but so worth it! one last fling before everyone was home every freaking minute of my life.

I so love to do this too - I steal decorating ideas! but still my house never looks so perfect!
TOTALLY FUN!!! My parents liked to do that when we were growing up (my dad is an architect and he was always getting ideas for his own dream home) I actually enjoyed it myself when we got to come along.
I have that paint in my bedroom and we LOVE it. Matt wasn't sure about it either when I picked it out but we have both said in the next house we will use it in more rooms:) Looks like a fun day!
YEAH for CRAFT ROOM! That is a pretty color. I think that is what my mom's house is.
So sorry about the next set of braces. :( It will all be worth it when its over. Wax and tylenol. That is all I can advise.
