The other day while cleaning "the girls" took quite an interest in helping. The next morning they found some dry cloths and began cleaning the house. Pretty soon one was caught windexing my bedspread to "clean" it. I abruptly stopped that method. She was given freedom to clean once I took away the bottle. Pretty soon she was upset that her cloth wasn't wet. In the bathroom, within ear shot, I heard her sister sneak up and say, "don't worry I know where you can get it wet". She replied with. "oh yeah the toilet". I ran behind them to stop this disaster wondering how much toilet water had cleaned my tooth brush when to my relief she turned on the sink.
Whew... who knows I am sure the toilet has been used before. She just came up with that idea way too fast.
The other day Hailey came running in with the following:
H-Sydney Elizabeth is in BIG trouble.
Me- What did she do?
H- I don't even know what its called but its really messy.
Ran into the room to find Styrofoam. Which is really messy. But better than I was expecting especially since she has never used the middle name method before.
Today is the first day of summer. I am sure there is some limit to how much screaming I can listen to before my heads explodes right. Someone is always hurt or hurting and someone has been constantly crying. Oh and its unseasonably cold and rainy. So no good pool or outdoor time to rescue us.

Ahh I feel your summer vacation pain!
Around here it's been sunny which is promptly followed by rain with lightening & thunder.
So all 7 (daycare girl included) of us stay inside all day long, all the while getting on each others nerves.
I have to say though that I do enjoy the many hands that I have only for the cleaning factor!

Isn't there some sort of Summer Camp for mom's out there?
oh boy! i really hope that your toothbrush hasn't been cleaned using toilet water... but i'm sure there are worse things that could happen! :)
Too funny! You apparently use middle names for BIG trouble too. That is a Shannon classic. They know its serious if the middle name flies out.
It stinks when summertime is cold and rainy. We have had some of those days too. Actually, we haven't been swimming yet this season. Soon...hopefully!
It's amazing how kids figure out their own way around things. I hope they haven't cleaned too many things with the toilet water. I am also glad that the big mess was not too messy. If the weather stays like this we will have to go to the aquarium or something.

I hear you on the head exploding...my kids went through days of screaming, crying, and whining. I wished I had a hearing aid so I could turn it down. Today it wasn't raining so I took them out all morning and afternoon. We went to two different parks and they came home too tired to fight. I was one happy Mama!
ahhh, Styrofoam IS messy! It sticks to everything. (Funny that she used the middle name though) :)
That is hilarious she used the middle name. hah hah
Its been a little cold here too. Feels like March, not June! But I don't mind it too much since it has been really warm these past few months anyway.
PS - I would get a new toothbrush JUST IN CASE. and HIDE IT. Keep the old one out so they still use that one for their creative outlet for cleaning. hah hah
I feel you on the cold and screaming start to summer :)
My girls have taken to SCREAMING at each other all the time. I feel like burying my head in sand. LOL
