Do you ever clean your bathrooms and not want anyone to use them? Or at least wish you could make them use only one of them? I see toothpaste and cringe. How about not wanting anyone to be on the wood floor at all even when its dry and done? It's like this for a day or so and then I just give up. How about you?
Tonight its clean, the messers are in bed. I guess for 12 hours the furniture (thanks Rachel for that one) and me will know it was nice. By the time I wake up their will likely toothpaste on the sink, cereal on the floors. You know how it goes right?

yup! i live that life too! way to go cleaning. i HATE cleaning the bathroom, and someone going in right after i've just scrubbed it. UGH! nightmarish!
Okay Ditto to basically everything you said in this post. So true! So true! Totally preaching to the choir. I hope my furniture is grateful.... :)
Floors are my thing - I swear that just after I finish someone will drop something!
I am the same way and then it all goes to pot! I hope sweeping and mopping and it seems the SECOND it is done it get dirty again.
I TOTALLY get it. It is SO frustrating! But you know that if you DON'T clean up after them all the time it gets way too out opf control. So I keep going and keep picking up and teaching them to clean, etc.. hoping that one day it will sink in their little brains. And then they will have kids that annoy them. I was JUST talking to my mom about this last night. She said it drove her crazy when we would go mess up what she just cleaned! I guess it is a never ending cycle.
When Michael took a day off work, he scrubbed the kitchen floor. Within 1/2 an hour it was MESSY again. He was SO mad. LOL
Oh, trust me, I know... I can never get ahead!
seriously right?! I love a clean house and wish I could wrap my kids up for the day with some rope so it for once would stay that way! *sigh* but I guess I will clean and clean until they learn to clean up after themselves. (hmmm 4 boys... that may be never! YEEPS)
It never ends. I keep telling myself I will miss the messes when they are gone....I don't think I will.
oh the redundancy of housework...don't get me started!
Totally!! Some days it drives me crazy! I usually make the kids play outside when I've just mopped the floor. Of course, it still doesn't last too long. Oh well...
i usually clean during afternoon nap time, and the place is trashed again by the time my husband gets home from work. he probably thinks i don't do anything all day!!
Don't we all!
My neighbor has a cleaning lady every other week. And while I'm jealous and all...She's so annoying because her own kids cannot play in their clean house and she sends them over to MY house instead! Oh, and they get to eat out on that day as well, since she refuses to 'mess up' her own kitchen...
So your small request of a few hours of stay clean after YOU've don't the work...fine!
♡ Amen!!!
I feel your pain lol! That's one perk to living in our house that was built with all recycled stuff- it looks old and dingy no matter what I do so clean floors or not it adds to the character. You can't tell when I clean.
Yup and isn't it frusterating...that's what I get for being obsessive/compulsive, type A personality though!! {{giggling}}
That's the curse of motherhood...... to wish and want for our homes to remain clean and neat. That's why I stay up late, so I can enjoy the clean! :D
Yep. After I clean the house I want everyone to play outside all day so it stays clean. Floors are my big addiction, too. They've got to be clean or I lose my mind...the kitchen, too. I sometimes get so mad that I can clean and clean and yet the cleaning is never done!!
Yes I do! I can't get over that even after I have swept my kitchen floor three times during the day, there is still stuff on it when John gets home! Where does it all come from?!
ps---love the new blog look!
I feel that same way everytime I mop the floors....they will be sticky and dirty by the next meal...UGH!
Ummmm...talking to me about cleaning is just silly. I'm the moron who posted asking for help in that subject, remember??
I hear ya girl. That's why I try to keep cleaning at a minimum... to aviod frustration. Well I guess that's a decent excuse.
I am glad that I am not the only mom to have those thoughts. Or the beds are made, everything is put away, the rooms are spotless and then it is time to get in the beds, throw dirty clothes on the floor and repeat the messy process.
I get soo excited over a mopped crumb free floor..but it never lasts.
You cold not have said it better! I think ever Mom must have the same thoughts about cleaning.
Oh geez. Don't even get me started. After I clean my bathrooms I don't want my kids brushing their teeth........:)
I know exactly how you feel. That is so how it goes at our house too. Plus my husband just can't understand why he isn't supposed to use the decorative towels. UGH!
Totally with you!
