Yesterday morning...
In the middle of a deep sleep I hear the loud sound of little feet running. I wipe my eyes and experience the realization that its the twins downstairs alone. It's dark and I am tired, it 6:15am. I force myself rush downstairs and find Sydney and Hailey standing on a step stool stuffing hershey kisses into their mouths, wrappers everywhere, chocolate everywhere. I look around and see more mess. Lindsey is at the table cutting hearts out of paper and using red sprinkles and syrup to write everyones names. Sprinkles, syrup, hershey kiss wrappers everywhere. Nice way to wake up on a holiday morning. My mornings often start way too early with the twins causing trouble. One morning I found them both naked in the bathroom at 5:30am, and another night it was Hailey turning on her light and playing in her room at 3am. Sydney was rubbing her eyes and not sure what was going on.

So funny Laura! Some days I wish for my girls to be older but when I read your stories I laugh & think I need to be grateful my girls are safely LOCKED in their cribs till I let them out :)
Jenny
Your right, that is a rude awakening. Here's hoping you get some rest tonight.
Oh man! That is a rude awakening!!! I do not know what I am going to do when the twins are out of their cribs. I will probably get one of those alarm thingies and put on their door. That way when it opens it will wake me up! LOL
Time for a lock on that door! :)
We were at my in laws a year ago or so and I woke up to loud laughing coming from downstairs and what I thought was water running! Lane & Eliza were in the downstairs bathroom making a HUGE mess... I totally understand...
oh that is never fun! i often wake up to kids fighting loudly downstairs and cereal and milk spilled all over the table. when i hear the fighting sometimes i am cranky enough they all get soap for fighting.

OH and pretty ingenious! about the syrup and sprinkles. too bad it was a mess.
Laura,
oh no! all the fun to come for us too! I think somebody should invent cribs for children who are too adventurous to be trusted in beds and rooms without locks. What do you do as punishment?
Seriously, nothing good every happens before 8am. Especially if it's from independent minded children!
So funny - when you're not the one living through it - right? What a cute story. I have memories of these sorts of stories of my twins when they were that little - they are something else. Take care and see you soon. Kellan
Motherhood, it's wonderful.
OK, so sorry for the "stalker" behavior today. We had to make a sudden address change, of course right after I gave you our old address. The new CORRECT one, if you'd like it is...

Oh, those girls have a grand time mischief making!!! I could just see them now!
I'm cringing just thinking about what I have in store for me Laura.
This really made me laugh, at the same time I just wanted to throw some ZZZZs your way!
