EHHHHHHH!!!!
I don't get this desire to almost kill one's self in Moab. My early years were spent in Moab WALKING beside our 4WD vehicle because I couldn't stand actually being in the Blazer while doing things like your husband just did. About 10 years ago we went again and I thought I might enjoy it. No such luck! :) My brother still goes TWICE a year and LOVES it!
