Lunch time...

Every day as meal time approaches I offer my twins a few choices for the said meal. Let's focus on lunch. All choices non dairy because of their allergy. All lunches have fruit on the side. Every single day they voice a strong opinion on what they would like to have. Every day they quickly eat the fruit and won't finish the main dish (the sandwich in most cases). Then begins the battle for chips. You can only have chips if you eat your lunch. Soon plates are empty quickly, too quickly. Yeah they moved it ALL to their sisters plate. Who in turn moves it back to hers. Whailing and tears insue for the chips. I will not give in. After all I always eat my lunch so I can have chips.

So funny! I love that they each try to stick there unwanted food with the other! My kids usually try to pawn their unwanteds to the dog.

That's so cute Laura!! They must be so much fun for you....that sandwich looks yummy did you try it? Cream cheese would give it some protein!!

I just stole that pic of FlickR. I haven't tried it. Maybe if I made such delicious and attractive sandwiches my girls would eat them and then be so full they would not want the chips. LOL!

I totally have had the same thing happen! Now I make them eat their sandwich first, then they get fruit, then they get crackers or whatever! Seems to work pretty good. My kids like to pass their unwanted stuff off too and then I've caught them dumping it off in the sink too. ELiza loves doing that so then she gets to go down for a nap with out any more food. It took doing that twice and now she doesn't do it anymore! :)

LOL! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with a chip fetish!

We have the same battle - but that picture of lunch looks so much better than my stuff. Isaiah has to have special soft things (with the tonsils/adnoids healing) and BOY has that been a challenge.

It's funny what kids will do to try to get around doing what you want them to. Stay strong and remeber to cherish these moments.

That sandwich looks so good.

So funny! Food is an issue here. Luke is the mac and cheese king. Trying to get kids to eat healthy foods can be tough. At least your girls eat fruit. The only fruits Luke will eat are bananas and apples.

We have a non-eater at my house so I can't help but you have my sympathy, not that that helps either ;o).

If you find a good solution though I definately want to hear it!

Food is always an issues, isn't it? Lately it is Alexis that I am having many food discussions with - trying to get her to eat healthier.

Thanks for stopping by today - nice to see you. Have a good day - Kellan

Sounds strangely familiar!
My kids drop food on each other's plates too. Well I should say that Sam has learned that the girls will not only not notice, but they will probably eat it too.

It is so good to know that I'm not the only one struggling through meals! The twins are so strange, things they ate w/o a problem one day become something they will not touch on another day! arrgh! I've given up on bread... they won't eat it! I just go with lunch meat and cheese slices!
