We lost my Grandpa. I know he lived an amazing life and that he was suffering, but there is never enough time. I will never have been ready to let him go. I know this is especially hard on my Grandma. She slept in a chair in his room the last two nights so she would be with him and had a difficult time letting him go today after he passed. I am very grateful he was able to come home the last month and be with us, and pass on with his family and loved ones there. I am very sad today and will miss him deeply!

Laura, I am so sorry for the loss of your grandpa! You are right, there is never a "good" time for them to go. You never get that last goodbye, or those last days you want to. My heart and prayers will be with you and your family during this time!
Hugs Laura. Losing your grandpa is so hard. Mine died 14 yrs ago and I miss him everyday still. I am glad you have the Gospel to comfort you, but it is still hard.

I'm so sorry your grandpa died. Its never easy to lose a loved one. My grandma died a year ago and we miss her so much. It is great that your grandpa was at home surrounded by loved ones when he passed. My condolences to your family and especially to your grandma.
Oh, so sorry, Heavenly Father will hold your family in the palm of His hand, I guarantee. Will be thinking of you over the next few days.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My husbands grandfather died two years ago and he is still very missed. The hardest part was watching his grandmother have to go it alone for the first time in her life. It definitely puts things in perspective and makes me grateful for everyday I have with my loved ones! I will be thinking of you today.

I know this has to be so hard for you! "I'm sorry" doesn't seem to be big enough for such a hard thing! But I am sorry for your loss and will be praying for your family.

I just saw this post now and I'm so sorry to hear you lost your grandfather. Mine died a few years ago and while I know he was watching from heaven, I wish he could have been at my wedding and met my girls. It is good he was able to be with family when he passed...I hope your grandmother is doing better, though such a loss we never fully get over I don't think. Take care.
