I'm It!

I was challenged to tell 8 random thing about myself. This was hard for me!
1-I was nicknamed "Maggie Pie" as a child because I never stopped talking. I still talk a lot, and I find this characteristic in Lindsey as well.
2-It's easy to hurt my feelings and I never tell people when they do.
3-I have never tasted any seafood, and only eat certain meats (chicken, some beef). I just have an aversion to it, especially if it takes time to chew.
4-I did not learn to drive till I was 17.
5- I love Anne of Green Gables. I believe you have kindred spirits in your life.
6- I have had a lot of weird things happen to me...
To name a few
A- swallowed a penny at 3 that got stuck in my throat and had to removed at the hospital days later.
B-Choked in 5th grade, awful experience, could not breathe for what seemed like forever, people attempted to help me but were unsuccessful (scary). Finally my teacher did the Heimlich and got it out.
C-I am Rh-
D-I was hit ice skating a little over a year ago (by a little 16 year old speed skating) I was knocked out and had a concussion. I received 15 stitches in my lips and mouth! A plastic surgeon had to fix me up! My bump was the size of a golf ball and eventually all the blood from it drained to my eye and made me get a black eye (my eye never hurt). Hailey got a black eye the same day, we were a real pair! My black eye lasted a whole month!

E-Being diagnosed and successfully delivering my miracle Monoamniotic twins.
6- Although I grew up in California (northern) I never went to Disneyland till I was an adult. Alan took me when we were dating. Now we go all the time!
7-Growing up I always loved children, babysat as often as I could. I used to be a nanny before I was married or had kids myself. One of the families I worked for was a baseball player for the SF Giants. It was such a interesting job.
8- I have only had one pedicure and it was only a month ago!

So I am supposed to tag other blogs, most of them have already been tagged so...
I tag: Kristi, Steph, Kirstencan, Erin, Brad or Jen (quads), Angie (Maggie and Natalie's mom) and anyone who reads and doesn't have a blog can do it in the comments if they want! Can't wait to read all of yours!

OUCH! I can't believe all the ouchies you've had! :) I'll have to try and post some this weekend (although mine won't be nearly as interesting!)
Jacob looks so cute in his school pictures! I love his outfit.

Erin,
I now remember your post, you are off the hook (thats why Angie did not choose you huh).

I forgot to mention I broke my collar bone when I was 11. That was a very painful, hard to heal, hard to keep from moving kind of break! Ouch!

How evil am I if I laughed out loud when I saw your face from being slammed by a speed skater? I just wasn't expecting that much carnage. j/k. I especially love the second picture where another picture of you injured is on the computer screen behind you.

I can't believe you've never even tasted seafood!

I loved reading these random facts! I actually did tag Erin, but then I remembered she had already done it do I scratched her off my list! :)

I am dying with laughter over Angie's comments! The carnage from the speed skater...I didn't notice the pic on the computer behind you until reading her comments. It's SO not funny, but your pictures are priceless:)
I LOVE this game:)

My blog is all about the babies, but I might post these on my Livejournal...

Eight random things:
1) I studied Naval Architecture for two years, before transfering and getting a BA in...Journalism.
2) I'm a 3rd dan in Tae Kwon Do, it's also where I met my husband...
a3) I failed two driver's tests and got my license at 17...popular age.
4) Banking off the last one, I was crappy with a car but less than a year later I was trusted to cycle on and off burners on a 565 foot long, steam-driven training ship at my first college...
5) Didn' know I was having twins until I was 26 weeks pregnant...and then, suddenly found at 28 they were momos.
6) I broke my toe once, dropped a bed on it, then tried to take a Tae Kwon Do class - blackened foot and all. Wasn't allowed...
7) One of our twins' middle names is "Page" - after guitar great Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin...
and lastly 8)I'm a huge classic car enthusiasist. I go to car shows every year and am fortuante to have a father-in-law who restores old Mustangs...my fave cars.

There...that's randomized me!

I also can't believe you've never had seafood!! Your poor lip and eye...that looks like it was painful.

My girls are also Rh-...it worries me. I know they'll have to be treated when they have kids.

Yes... my two oldest kids are not RH- but when I get two identicals I wasn't as lucky (or they were not)they are both RH- too.

Kate-
Thanks for posting yours! I thought they were very interesting. I did not realize how late your diagnosis was, wow! Talk about shock of you life!

This is cool! Very interesting facts about you Laura. It seems you are very accident prone!! Ha! Ha! That is something we have in common. I keep bruises all over all the time from little mishaps I have. My DH makes fun of me all the time. I will have to think of 8 things and maybe I will post it on my blog.

Yeh, my diagnosis was very late...but so was the whole "you're having twins" diagnosis. Most people get a kick out of my naval arch background...I'm known to spout off information about ships systems and such...ugh...I'm a bore!
