We all were grateful that Alan’s Mom is making a full recovery and is still with us. This year we got to invite Alan’s brother and his family to my Mom’s (Jan wasn't up to dinner or a crowd).  My kids really loved having their cousins at their other Grandparents and having Lisa around was great because she makes the best homemade rolls and is already like a part of my family from our girls nights and other excursions.  It was a lot of work but it all turned out perfect!

Later that night we had the luck and good fortune to take Jan out to a movie.

and because were crazy  after the movie we took Jan home and headed out to midnight madness at the outlets.  Upon arriving to the outlets I could not get my seatbelt unbuckled. After wrestling with it for a while my sister (the owner of the car) suggested we cut the seat belt. Luckily even at midnight Holly (my other sister) operates on full brain power and suggested I loosen the belt and slide out, which worked. What was even funnier was Holly later finding a way to slide into the belt.  Not sure how she managed that!

I was too busy getting my deals and didn’t take any pictures except this one at 3:30am. I noticed Holly had been standing in the same spot with her red shoes for an hour trying to decide on buying them (while we kept trying the same sweaters in different colors).  At that hour, you do weird things.

We all had a blast. Stuck to our budgets and got some great deals. It was more fun than anything. The deal of the night was a $70 watch I got for $20 at Tommy Hilfiger :)

I was tired the next day, but it was worth it.  Later my sisters husband simply clicked a missing piece on the seatbelt that had fallen in when the seat was folded down.  That’s it and the seatbelt unbuckled. I guess at that hour the four of us cannot be blamed for not knowing what to do.

Okay, forgive my absent comments lately....I've been coming by to read, I promise....

anyway, your Turkey day seems like it was wonderful! Full of all the things that make that day so great...good food, fabulous family, blessings to recognize...(and a day filled with bargains!) Glad you had a good holiday.

And I love that picture of the kids together-way cute!

Your thanksgiving looked wonderfull. The Turkey picture made my mouth water.

I was really tempted to go to midnight madness this year, but I ended up going to bed early and hitting Shopko at 5:00am. Not as exciting.

I am glad the seatbelt works again. I am a firm believer that somethings only need a man to touch them to get them to work again. There have been many times when I can't get something to work and Ryan comes and does exactly what I have been doing and it works just fine for him.

Fabulous Thanksgiving! so glad your mother-in-law is doing better. I cannot believe you all shop in the middle of the night. I don't know what I would come home with. My brain stops working at 9pm sharp:)

Thank you for a wonderful day. Thanks for the compliments on my rolls. i will keep making them:) if you blog it, you must mean it. LOL. what a great day and I was happy to share it with your family. Thank you again for inviting us. I still laugh at the mental picture of you and Holly stuck in the seatbelt and am still thrilled about our watch.

It was a great Thanksgiving and even more fun to have Lisa and family over with our's. Yes, the rolls were to die for. Lisa and family may need to become a permanent addition, so we can have the rolls again. I also feel compelled to mention that I am not looking my best at 3:30am after a long day of cooking in the kitchen. Yikes, I look scary! No wonder I couldn't decide on the shoes. By the way, I love them now. ;-)

YOu are all so beautiful. Did the seatbelt get fixed? Cute red shoes. Next time I'm in Utah for Thanksgiving can I go shopping with you?

If I were let out to shop in the middle of the night I would spend way too much money in my deliriousness LOL. Your Midnight madness stories are always so funny.
