A few years ago a tradition was started to dress up for dessert at a fancy restaurant in the area. The restaurant is up a lane that is snow covered and decorated with beautiful lights for Christmas.
This year we had a lot to celebrate. We have Jan back with us and she is recovering. It makes me cry to even remember those dark times.

So this year this family had a lot to celebrate. We all went through so much together this summer, even the kids. Having Jan back with us decorating for the holidays and going to the traditions seemed impossible in September. It wasn’t lost on me when we decorated the tree and wrapped gifts together that we almost didn’t have here to do this. Jan is doing so much better. It’s a lot to recover from and she is doing it day by day!

Please tell Jan I think she looks beautiful!! What a fun tradition to go out to a fancy restaurant JUST for dessert :) So glad that you had a great holiday with all of your family happy and healthy.
What a blessing to have Jan out and about with all of you for Christmas. I hope by the time next year rolls around she is feeling 100% and can even do her beautiful villages.

I think I know which restaurant that is....and what a treat! My uncle had his wedding reception there a few years ago but just a few months before we moved here, I wish I could have gone-it IS beautiful and very fancy!
Wouldnt have survived it all without you. The girls look so cute in their matching dresses. Glad we got to go..especially with mom
