Graceling by Kristin CashoreMy review
rating: 5 of 5 stars
I loved this book. It took me a little time to get really involved in it but once I did I could not put it down. I loved the development of the characters, the writer's voice, and the female heroine. The story has intrigue, adventure, and romance. I highly recommend it.
About the Book
Katsa has been able to kill a man with her bare hands since she was eight—she’s a Graceling, one of the rare people in her land born with an extreme skill. As niece of the king, she should be able to live a life of privilege, but Graced as she is with killing, she is forced to work as the king’s thug.
She never expects to fall in love with beautiful Prince Po.
She never expects to learn the truth behind her Grace—or the terrible secret that lies hidden far away . . . a secret that could destroy all seven kingdoms with words alone.
With elegant, evocative prose and a cast of unforgettable characters, debut author Kristin Cashore creates a mesmerizing world, a death-defying adventure, and a heart-racing romance that will consume you, hold you captive, and leave you wanting more.

I will have to look into that book. :)
I was curious, how did you make it so that your photos can't be copied. I would love to do that on my blog. If you could email me at prie_believing@hotmail.com I would appreciate it. :) Thanks
I have that book on hold at the library. I can't wiat to read it.
I put all of the books you suggested to me on hold plus some others I had been wanting to read, because they all had different waiting periods. I got a call today saying one book was there but when I went to pick it up there were five books waiting for me. I guess I will be reading a lot this month. Thanks for the great suggestions.
So glad you liked it. I agree that it took a little longer to get into the story, but once the characters were developed it was an awesome read. I just started "Unwind" and am enjoying it so far!
I'm glad you loved the book, too. I've never just "stumbled" upon a good book like this one. It just happened to be on the new book shelf in the library one day and I picked it up thinking it might be interesting. It is amazing that for a relatively slow start it sucks you right in! :)
And.......wasn't the romance stuff the best?
