Saturday morning...

Weekends around here are brutal at times. There is sports to do to all.the.time. Then there is the mess. Does anyone else live in a bomb that can only be recovered on Monday's?

So I am telling all the kids to go up and clean their rooms. Distracted by the cereal all over the floor I don't follow up (because no one is listening to me). A half hour passes I head upstairs to get kids dressed only to find Hailey in her room. "What are you doing I ask"? Forgetting my earlier orders. "I am cleaning my room. I like to clean my room. It makes me happy". I get her dressed. She tells me she loves to get her hair done (which isn't really true). She is all smiles and kisses. "she tells me her favorite color is pink, but not hot pink". I love these unexpected moments. When you feel like someone is listening to you and you find time to stop and listen back.

What a doll!
I just had a great time getting caught up. The cruise looked like Heaven!! I bet you loved every minute of it. The girls weekend looked awesome too. I miss having an excuse to go to the bay area. A girls trip would be the perfect way to visit! Good luck with your busy spring sports season - hope to see you soon!

yay! she is too cute love that she specified the shade she prefers. and WHOOHOO for listening a little. our weekends the house goes to crap too. i fully believe rushing in and out is what kills it. no time to put things away, dropping a bag by the door and grabbing others.
i think every mom has to recover on mondays and sometimes tuesdays.

Aww what a little cutie she is! And she's a girl after my own heart as she love the color pink! :)

As per weekends, My house suffers from the weekend hangover. It's always bad come Sunday night..

Hey Laura,
that's a really nice picture of Hailey. Where did you take it? Makes me yearn for summer and sundresses!

♥ Weekends are the WORST ever. It's always terrible for us too. As far as the asking kids to do stuff and then forgetting that I told them to do it. I do that all the time and then on the rare occation that they're actually doing it thrills me to death! :)

She is such a sweetie. I love those moments too :)

I am so not looking forward to the days when the girls start having activities on the weekends. They already have birthday parties galore. LOL
