Yesterday was one of those days. It started out amazing. Went out to breakfast with my little sister for her birthday. My Mom even took the girls home so we could do some birthday shopping. She even let me go to Costco alone. Bliss.
Then everything started going bad. After spending 2 hrs at the doctors with three children I was rushing home to pick Jacob up from a play date. I was tired and stressed and everyone was hungry. Sheesh the Costco was still in the back of the car (not to worry its been freezing and snowing around here). So I pulled up to get Jacob. Go to the door wait while the little guy screams "Mom someone is at the door". She is slow and isn't coming. I wait and I wait and then my mind turns on. Jacob's friend doesn't have a older brother. His house doesn't look like this. Still no Mom. So what do I do. I tell the kid I have the wrong house and hurry to escape further humiliation. My kids are confused, "where is Jacob". I admit the truth. Drive three courts up and pick up my kid. Yeah I am loosing my mind.

I love it, Laura! I need to read that other people are doing these kinds of things. It makes me feel more normal. Thanks for sharing a brief moment of insanity...may they be few and far between!
Laura--- haha. I am glad I don't stand in loosing my mind (ville) alone.
haha. It is so easy to start loosing it when there is so much going on. I'm glad you at least started out the day peacefully. I hope you were not at the doctor because of illness.
OMGosh too funny. So did the lady ever come to the door? Hope today is better :)
Costco alone...that is bliss!!
Whoa, sounds like you need GNO therapy! Hope things calm down for you soon.
That is too funny...love how you avoided further humiliation!
OH NO! That is SO FUNNY! (Hopefully you are laughing by now too!!)
♥ How nice to spend some time with your sister and that cracks me up that you went to the wrong house. My friend camped out in front of our "old" house thinking we still lived there all night and when she got up in the morning to come use the bathroom she found out that it wasn't our house! Cracks me up still. For some reason she still had our old address and I didn't even think to tell her our new one because we'd been moved for 4 years! :)
Oh, that's too funny! I would've loved to have heard what happened if the mom had come to the door. lol!
PS: I love your new blog layout. :)
Oh girl u need a vacation at a spa! Not one. Where u are on the go all the time. U must be EXHAUSTED!!!!
I think all of us mamas are losing it at some point....thanks for sharing yours :) The lady never came to the door...wow!
I'm glad I'm not the only one this stuff happens to! The zip-lining looked amazing - what a great time!
We call that a Jo-ism! At least you were able to escape before having to fess up!
I can relate. You are not losing your mind, you've just misplaced it for a little while. One of these days you'll find it in the couch cushions. (At least that's what happened at our house. Only, now I think the cat hauled it off somewhere new.)
great story! At least you got out of there before they opened the door. I can feel my own cheeks blushing if that happened to me.
I can't believe all that happend to you on this day. I think we are all loosing our minds as mothers:) It's how we survive it.
