Gone are the lazy days...

Of summer! Lindsey started school monday and its been busy.

Not so much that she started school either. Wasn't sure I should share this, too many twin moms who read still have to embark on potty training. Potty training any child is a grueling process and potty training two is torture. After we dropped Lindsey to school we went to the mall. I took them straight to the baby potties. Hailey went with success. Sydney tried and it flushed (love that auto flush) while she was sitting which scared her and she fell in, UGH! She was never going to sit on that toilet or go anywhere near it again. So... I knew we had to go because she was on borrowed time. As we leave Hailey has an accident, which was really shocking since she just went. SO we headed home. They are doing about average and as long as I stay home they mostly have success but if I leave forget it. So we are stuck home doing nothing else but watching them. Diapers are underated. I would recommend waiting and enjoying them as long as possible. Right now it feels like life will never be the same. I know it will get better, right?
Oh and if you put a piece of toilet paper over the sensor it won't auto flush! Next time (not sure there will be a next time) I will have the potty seat in the car. Live and learn.

Jacob starts school next Tuesday. This week is kindergarten testing. Good thing too, since he threw up last night!

Hi
Your girls story made me laugh! Oh the joys of potty training. I leave the potty chair in the bathroom but have given up trying for awhile. Isaiah sends me mixed signals so I just don't want to mess with it! :)
I hope Jacob's illness was shortlived. Ugh! I hate tummy bugs! Fevers are unpleasant but nothing gets me stirred up like a good day/night of puke!

i was going to ask how the girls were doing with potty training. my son was the same way with those automatic flush toilets. he was scared to death!! he would literally pee and run (good thing he's a boy).....lol. anyway, i'm sure it will get easier. it'll be worth sitting at home for a few days. i too hope jacob's illness was short lived. love the pictures of lindsey, very nice!

I LOVE diapers.... makes my life so much easier!!

I hope Jacob and Lindsey have wonderful school years!!

So sorry about the potty accidents! I always had to keep my hand over the sensor for my kids or they would not sit down. I still do for Olivia.

All your experiences with your girls that you have shared are coming true with my boys now. I am getting scared here!!!!

Thanks for the toilet paper over the sensor idea, Brianna is almost 9 and to this day won't use one of those toilets unless she has to go REALLY bad. Hope potty training gets easier. I am choosing not to even think about that right now. I waited until Bri was almost 3 and once we started it was done with hardly an accident. I am praying the twins do the same. I hope the next few days go better for you and the girls.
I also hope Jacob is feeling like himself again.

Aout potty seats - I have a cushioned one that folds up and can go in the diaper bag. I think I paid about $10 for it.
