It's those little things that push you over the edge...
You know what I mean, right? You are having a normal busy day and then something happens that just pushes you over the edge. Makes you know your life is crazy, undpredictable, frustrating?
Like...
Your trying to go to Costco. As you are getting the cart, twins split and run both trying to escape going in the cart. People watch, are even annoyed that they cut them off while they are running.
You need a new costco card. You wait in a short line, only one person in front of you, seems o.k right? NOPE! He is crazy and spends 15 minutes trying to get the Costco guy to help him pay his American Express card and refund his late fees. He cannot understand why this is not possible! The Costco worker can't/won't call another person to help me with all my children, waiting for a simple card so I can get in the store! 15 minutes!
You out and about, both babies are stinky, changing two babies in a public restroom, one is on the changing area, the other running around up to no good. She turns on the water to the sink, fills up your purse full!
You are loading your car, you have two babies to buckle up and two older kids. Someone begins waiting for your spot right when you arrive to unload, they begin to honk and get annoyed at your slow speed... SERIOUSLY! I am not the best person to wait for!
You decide to have spaghetti for dinner, huge mess follows.
All four kids need a bath!!!!
Your bathing all four kids, while washing hair, one of them turns on the shower, you get completely soaked.
I hope you had a good laugh with me. Please share your little crazy moments in the comments. We all have them, and we all live through them every day! Who knows I am sure I will remember more of mine, and laugh too! Top on my memory list was my diaper disasters that used to happen almost daily! Those are still not funny!

Closer to crazy...

Oh, Laura! Some day. Why are some days, just like that? Luckily they don't come every day. Let's see......one day last week the twins pulled a box of rice out of the pantry (remember, the door was off?) and emptied it on the floor. A little later one of the twins dumped my whole box of Special K on the floor. I think it was the same day that Garrett got into my nail polish and the twins climbed on the counter and threw my glass enclosed candle on the tile floor.
or was it the week before last?
Here is mine, from the zoo last week:
Stand in line -- only one person ahead of me -- to get a drink and a lollipop for the four-year-old. The girls are only happy if they are in some sort of motion, but with only one person ahead of me, how bad can it get? (Sound familiar?)
This guy ahead of me asks for iced tea. They don't sell it. He yells to whomever ordered it, "They don't have iced tea!" Then they go down the list, "Sprite?" "Coke?" "Diet Coke?" Each option gets yelled to the invisible recipient.
"Are you sure you don't have iced tea? What about the other places in the zoo?"
More shouting, "What about a Sprite?"
"Really -- no iced tea?"
Meanwhile, the four-year-old grabs for the lollipop inside the window and the twins start crying.
"Why don't you all have iced tea?"
(Shouting)"What about a Diet Coke?"
"Okay, give me a Diet Coke. What sizes do you have?"
If I'd had a gun, you'd be reading about me in the paper.
My days have been rather uneventful since my leaking breast incident at Target (knock on wood)!!
Angie-
I really wish you had taken some pictures of these events. LOL
Erin,
So annoying. Sometimes people are so clueless. Were you silent? After the person at costco would not stop and they would not help me. I wasn't that nice. It was just ridiculous though.
Arizona,
Your Target experience is one of the funniest and most entertaining I have ever heard. Glad you are surviving your daily life with less of the crazies this week.
Oh man Laura, You sure have a lot of "those days". I especially love the one about your purse!! Your twins get into SUCH mischief!!
laura, i must say that i was srriously laughing with you through the whole post, why, because i have had those days of course. i can't bring any up right now cause i am so tired, but trust me, they are there :)
I can totally relate. Very funny - especially the part where the kids turned the shower on you! Sounds like something that would happen here.
Uh Oh....one of those days. I think crazy is just one long spectrum and as moms, we just go up and down the spectrum from day to day. Sometimes we're almost normal and other days we need to be shipped to the nut house!
Thanks for making me laugh w/the antics of your children once again!! I will never forget your diaper stories(the duct taping is hilarious) but I fear I am about to have to start telling my own diaper stories. They are awful to change..hmmm wonder what would happen if I just let them go without??!!! Could the messes be any worse? I guess they could!!
