I am very lucky to have a husband who understands I need a night out. Weekly I can count on one night to get out and have a break. It's usually my sister in law Lisa, and my two sisters Holly and Diana. We do a variety of things but it always includes dinner and a movie. I seriously see movies almost once a week, crazy huh. We always DO very late movies so we have much time out as possible.
This past week Alan has been out of town (on a cruise vacation) and I have been home doing all the cooking, cleaning, driving, doctoring, and some fighting with my kids alone. I could never be a single Mom. I also missed getting any sort of break so here's to weekly girls night out. It just makes life SO much better. Thank you Alan for this break! I love you!

Here is a picture from his cruise. We believe in equal time around here so I see a girls vacation coming on soon!
They dressed up in the funniest cruise gear they could find ( I can barely recognize a few). This is a group of Alan's best friends who he grew up with. Married w/ kids they have all remained friends. Believe me I am glad I wasn't there.

Boy, those guys look pretty darn cool. Wish Matt could have gotten off work to go with them. I bet they've had the time of their lives! (At least nobody got arrested...)
What a fun tradition for you and your sister and friends. It's nice to get out and have soem adult conversation for sure. It looks like your dh is having a fun time as well but I hear ya on being a single mom. My dh was gone for 3 months and it was very hard.
Hi there. Came over from Angie's ww. That's awesome you guys do that. I get a solo night each week but don't have a girls night out like I wish I would. BUt it is still nice to have that time. Great pics of you ladies!!!

Wow, he went on a cruise without you? That is so wrong. ;) I think he should send you to a spa for a week...and me too...you know, if I'm dreaming! :)

I think it's great you get out that often- it's something every mom should do for herself!
That's cool that you go out so often with the girls. I have a movie night with some neighbors once or twice a month. And I get to see my sisters quite often (with kids, though.) My hubby is good to give me a break when I need it:)

I SO wish I could have a girls' night with my sister - wouldn't work though - we're too far away! That is awesome for you! My husband has his night every week, then a guitar lesson another night(which I still consider a night away!)...I think I need to start going one night/week. Even if it's just for coffee somewhere...ALONE!
I have been lucky enough to have a marriage where we can have our time away too. Looks like you both come out winners on that deal!
I don't realize how much help Ryan really is emotionally until he is gone in the evening. I don't think I could be a single parent either. I'm glad you get out as much as you do. Every good mom deserves a little girl time.

And I agree with Jaime. You need to start posting where you buy your ( and the other sisters) outfits from and help us fashion challenged moms out there!
