Why we need a bunk bed and poop stories...

The twins can't go to sleep together. It's like an all night slumber party that never ends. So about a year go we began the bedtime swapping and its been a routine ever since. It works like this, one of the twins (they take turns) goes to sleep in Jacob's bottom bunk when they are both asleep I move them back together so they can wake together and so I can see when they get up (they walk past my room to get downstairs). A few times we have forgotten to switch them and having them sneak downstairs is not pleasant. Anyway, last night when I arrived home from Volunteering at the hospital I went to check on the girls they had been put back together and were sleeping in each others beds. After I fell asleep I heard crying. Sydney had crawled in bed with Hailey and Hailey wasn't happy. So I put Hailey back in her bed or tried to because when I did she squealed because it was wet. So Sydney wet Hailey's bed and then crawled in bed with Hailey (wet under wear and all). Needless to say Hailey was less than thrilled.

Later in the morning I had this conversation with Sydney:
Me- Why are you wearing different p.j's?
Sydney-Because of the poop?

Great. Two wet beds and poop somewhere. My life is glamorous.

Good luck finding the poop. I'm sure the scent will give away it's hiding place. Hope life with twins gets a little easier one of these days. I feel for ya!

Poop will get you every time. Motherhood is full of it, isn't it? Some day we will look back and miss these "glamorous", poop-filled days...right? ;-)

Good luck

Ah, yes, motherhood is SO glamorous! I'm hoping the scent gives it away sooner rather than later!

Well, I hope you found the poop. Motherhood definitely has it's bonuses, huh? :) My girls beds are right next to each other, and they often end up crawling into each other's beds, usually not wet though (or poopy). Way to go with the scrapbooking. I wish I had gotten into that, but never did. Now I don't know where I would start. I hope your week goes a little more smoothly! Hang in there!

Oh, I'm sorry! At least you have a good sense of humor about it! Right?

Lately my older kids have insisted on falling asleep in our bed and then we have to transfer them to their beds. Its not fun, in fact its annoying as heck...BUT I don't have to wonder where the poop is.
:)

Oh so glamerous to be a mom. That's why we have our gilrs nights so we can dress up and pretend we are glamerous and the dads can stay home and deal with the mess. Oh wait that's right they don't deal with the mess. They are just there in case there is a fire.

Oh Laura, you have had quite a time getting a regular routine with the girls. Only a great mommy like you could do it!

Isn't it funny how they can change their own panties/pjs when they've peed in them? Vivi has been doing that lately....sneaking in a clean dry pair hoping I won't notice. Yet, otherwise, I have to help her go to the bathroom and pull down her pants. ?????? Are your girls like that too?

If Sydney pooped too, I'm sure you'll find it soon. Yucky!
