For Sale...

Gone are my nights of total security, my nap times without worry. The girls are free and I fear life will never be the same for anyone! I know I know... we got more time in these cribs than any mother normally gets, I realize we were lucky. I realize they couldn't possibly be caged forever! Good-bye to our beloved traps ... I mean cribs. May we still have girls who go to sleep at night and nap on occasion and may my sanity not leave with you!

This is how I found Sydney several times last week...
and Hailey was like this one morning, and when I asked her what on earth she was doing she told me very plainly, she was climbing.
and one afternoon after an hour in bed "napping" I heard a lot of noise. I opened the door with force expecting to find them both out of bed, instead I found that Hailey had joined Sydney in her crib (oh the fun of being a twin).

There is no more sleeping a little later, while they play. Getting more done after a nap while they chatter upstairs.. safe from disasters and other mischief. All bets are are off!

Oh my! No rest for the weary I suppose. I can't wait to read what the future freedom brings! Maybe the new "big girl" status will create less mischievous girls. Its always good to be optimistic right?

Oh my... that looks so dangerous!!! It was definitely time for the cribs to go!!

How about putting a pressure gate on their door? I did that for my other kids.

I know what you mean. When Isaiah started crawling out, it was really hard at first, but now he does GREAT in his big boy bed. I'd say the only trouble I have now is that if he needs me in the night - he comes looking and wanders (vs. in the crib yelling for me). So hopefully you'll have the same luck.

man i have missed alot of your posts. i don't know where i've been??? anyway, sorry to hear about the flooding, atleast there was a plumber there, because you know, my luck, i would have left before i found out and come back to a whole house being flooded....lol. your fall pictures are adorable!! my girls have been in big girl beds for about 6 mo. now and they are better in their beds than they were in their cribs. atleast you won't have to worry about them falling and seriously hurting themselves now, cause it looks like they were getting pretty brave. can't wait to see pics of their new room!!! i hope oyu have a easy transition!

I'm hoping for an easy transition into the big girl beds! We have a gate, as Debra mentioned, just in case our daughter should leave her bed. So far so good...she's been in hers two weeks this Sat.
