Fountain fun...

A trip to the fountains at Gateway. True fun for the older kids! My niece Cali also enjoyed the water, but the little girls had no interest in experiencing any of it. They had a ball eating their picnic lunch and hanging out in the sun! It was clear it was time to leave when 50 daycare kids arrived and we could not see our kids anymore. One knocked Jacob flat and I was done! I hate going out to do fun things and having a crowd of unsupervised kids come and ruin it! We had a good two hours before any of that happened. Good day.

All the cousins together... miracle picture!!

The Fountains were glorious fun for the older kids.

The girls... Sydney then Hailey (Sydney's signature expression).

aww, i love the pics!!! i know what you mean about unsupervised kids!!! i always make sure my kids are at their best behavior wherever we go, and we always seem to run into unsupervised kids who act as though they have never been out in public before! anyway, i'm glad you had 2 hours by yourselves to enjoy it!!! i hope you have a great week!

Yes, When I complained to the daycare leader she said, "we are required one adult for every 12 kids" so we are within the state laws. Give me a break, I feel overwhelmed just watching my four kids! I would not be allowing my kid to go on a trip with that kind of supervison!

Looks like so much fun! You're so good to bring your camera. You really captured some great shots.

Anyone who knows me knows I will always bring my camera. My husband accuses me of planning events just for the pictures. I am not THAT bad, but almost.

That looks like SO much fun! We have a park like that here, but I have yet to take the kids. I am hoping next summer it will be easier to take the boys out since they will be walking. That way they can participate in things like that istead of sitting in the stroller fussing.

It SO irritates me when the daycare thing happens to me too. One adult just cannot supervise that many kids properly, the laws are wrong! I do not mind the crowds or having them there, they just need to have more adults per child. Kids need supervision! Olivia is in dance camp at the Children's Museum twice a week. I'd love for the kids to go play in the museum while we are waiting, but there are always at least 3 school buses full of kids there at the same time. The "adults" are usually college students who are just as "unsupervised" as the kids! LOL

BTW.. what camera do you have? My MIL is looking for one and is aksing me what the best one is. I have a Kodak Easy share that is 8.1 MP and 10X zoom. I do not think she needs one like I have.

Debra,
I have the Canon Rebel. It's not cheap, but its the best thing I have ever bought. It a digital SLR and has everything you could ever want. It's not really a small take a long camera, but I am picky!
My girls don't go in the water yet either... but they like being outside. I got it in February. I have a post about it ...

Thanks! My camera is not small either. About the same size as yours. I am such a scatterbrain and always misplacing things, so I am scared sometimes to take it with us. But I have become better so I do not miss making memories!!

Hey
I've tried to leave comments the past few days but my computer wouldn't let me. But today I got through!
Cute pictures of the kids! Looks like alot of fun.
I have a friend who is now enjoying your blog. She loves all your "favorite things" post. Plus, she loves the way you dress the kids. She has one daughter and she loves to shop for her (and then sell outgrown stuff on ebay). You two have alot in common! :)
