I think I won Jacob over with this move. I found a football camp that was at his favorite college. This means he got to meet the coach, learn and play football, see the school, meet players, play on the stadium field. It meant waking up every day at 7am for the week and driving him almost 45 minutes to the location (and waiting till it ended). Worth every second. I have a feeling this will be something we do every year. It was so fun!
While Jacob practiced we toured the campus.
It was so fun showing the girls where I went to college. It brought back so many memories. I used to walk these stairs every single day.
They have a lot more food places there now. Like Jamba Juice.
We toured all sorts of free museums on campus. This was Jacob’s favorite the sports memorabilia museum. It had all the trophies, the locker room and other cool stuff to see.
Those are some big guys who fill these seats!
We also toured the Bean museum which has taxidermy animals. I didn’t really know what we were going to and it proved to be interesting but… Hailey said “she was going to cry” seeing all the dead animals and Sydney was scared they could come back alive. It was free so we all agreed it was okay. But I am not sure we are going back.
Then we waited in a long line for the creamery ice cream which is well known to be the best.
on our way out we stopped at the Dinosaur museum. Which was so cool. Lindsey got asked to be on a little t.v. spot for the university and she was thrilled. It has since aired and it was absolutely cute!
We had so much fun touring the campus every day and seeing the museums after it felt like a mini vacation. We really loved it.
On the last day he got to play at the real stadium. This was one happy boy!
One thing I observed about Jacob was that he is self confident and friendly. He would walk right up to strangers and just ask to play with them. It made my heart happy.
They have the cutest cheerleaders!
Here he is with the coach from BYU’s football team. So fun!
It was a perfect week!
