1-Looking at preschool's this week for the girls next year.
2-Working on Christmas cards steps... photoshop it, print it, assemble, and mail. I am on the needing to assemble stage. After 3 trips to Costco it finally looks right.
3-Visit to the orthodontist. I am getting braces come January.
4-Trip to Nordstrom's. A pair of my most expensive jeans got a hole in the inner thigh. How does that happen there anyway? Of course I was horrified. All is good- because Nordstroms is amazing. I now have $200 to spend on new jeans (probably from the Nordstrom Rack to optimize my money).
5-Getting ready to buy tickets to Wicked tomorrow at 6am. They are coming this spring.
6-Got a haircut and color this week and the world feels brighter and I look better too.
7-Piles of laundry and cleaning still screaming for my attention. Slowly I will get to it. If I did not have those darn Christmas cards needing me too.
8-Last week I read three books in one week. The Hunger games, My sister's keeper, and The adoration of Jenna Fox. That was more than I read in a year last year.
9- Saw Four Christmas's and found it funny and enjoyable. Loved Australia too totally recommend it.
10-Getting Photoshop CS4 because of a great miracle.
11-Got a new toaster. How a family of six lived without a four slice toaster this long is beyond me. Seriously wonderful. We are easily pleased.
12-Need a dinner plan. Something that requires no work and everyone will love. Oh that doesn't exist. I am SO tired of someone, and sometimes everyone, not liking the dinner I worked on. UGH!
13-Wondering where all my commenters have gone?
Would you get braces at my age? Do you hate cooking too? Are your Christmas cards mailed? If you are waiting for my Christmas card it looks an awful lot like my header so enjoy that in the meantime. Your's will arrive in due time.

I would get braces in a SECOND. In fact when my daughter needs braces we will be getting them together.
Not doing cards this year...for the exact reasons you state...to much work.
I'm pretty sure I've dropped the ball on sending out Christmas cards this year. Yes, I'd get braces. And, I'm still here....you know how much I love you. Your blog looks GREAT. I absolutely LOVE it.
Nordstrom is the best! So jealous of Wicked, wish we were going too! Holy reading machine... I loved "My Sister's Keeper". Can't wait to see both those movies, and how on earth are you getting CS4? I actually don't mind cooking, I hate the meal planning and grocery shopping stage of cooking. Love the new header. :)
1. I would NOT get braces at your age but that's b/c I have had them twice! LOL
2. Yes, I hate cooking.
3. The cards are going out tomorrow.
About #1, if you want them and have the $, do it. It's never too late to fabulous! ;o)
Love your blog, Laura!
Oh, I am here, BTW. Just been busy, sick, sick kids, sick hubby, got even sicker, Xmas cards, Xmas crafts, etc. I always look ever if I don't comment.
You sound just a little busy;)!!
I need a hair cut, it's at that stage where is just hangs there. And congrats on CS4! My hubby just got me CS3 for a screaming deal, happy early christmas to me! And as per cooking, I'm a firm believer in the crock pot this time of year. I have some recipe's on my blog you should try. Best of all they are EASY!
Your blog looks totally cute, great job!
Braces, for sure! I just finished my cards this afternoon ... hoping they'll be back from the printer by Monday so I can get them addressed and out the door by the middle of next week. Honestly, I still need two more weeks of November ... I do NOT know how I'm going to pull Christmas off this year! :-) So jealous of CS4!
Laura, You are amazing!
Always reading your blog even though I don't comment so much. You'r family is soooo beautiful. I say yah to braces why not. Vivek put The whole CS4 package on my computer last week. Love it though I use illustrator more then photo shop. I hate dinner too. Vivek hates my cooking and almost never eats it. Very frustration to have spent the time to cook it and have nobody eat it. Are your girls not starting Kindergarten next year? No on the christmas cards but I did get out all my customer gifts out the first week in December. I am pretty proud of that. Can't wait to see your cards this year...they are always amazing and so creative.
Miss and love you much...Sarah
Your blog looks fantastic. Love it!
I would totally get braces at any age. I usually like to cook but only when I am not working, which thankfully hasn't been much lately. I have not mailed my Christmas cards yet. I tried to order them tonight but they were so expensive so I opted to try and take the photo to Costco, Sam's Club or Walmart for quick photo cards. I would never atempt to make a Xmas card. No on would ever see it before Easter LOL.
My internet has been super finicky lately. So my comments will be plentiful now :)
I am so proud of you for getting braces. I will say it is the best thing I ever did for my confidence. Even though I had them grade 6-8 I have been happy everyday since that I did it. You will have a gorgeous smile when you are done:) You have had a crazy week. I can't believe you read 3 books. You are a fast reader!
I'm still here! Just busy so busy, it has been hard to comment on anyone's blog lately. I even have to catch up on my posting I am so behind.
I am not doing Christmas cards anymore.
1. I am just too busy.
2. I can just as easily send them over the internet for free.
3. everyone I would send a Christmas card to reads my blog or I can email them a letter and a picture to just as easily. (For Elderly folks that do not - i do send them cards.)
4. I am just TOO busy! LOL
Oh and I would get braces in a HEARTBEAT!
it's that time of year. everyone is busy busy. no time to comment.
i'd totally get braces. i fantasize about it sometimes. maybe next year.
bummer about the hole in the jeans . smart to maximize it.
love a new cut and color. (i don't color but i can imagine the wonder)
but super love any grooming that's all about me. and makes me feel better. WHOOHOO for you!
cards! ugh! i have mine haunting me too.
laundry. it'll be there when you get done with your cards.
I would definitely get braces! My husband might get braces next year.
I always intend to do Christmas cards, but never actually do. My sister LOVES Wicked. When/ where is it playing?
I just got my cards mailed this morning.
Yes on the braces as an adult. It will go by much faster than having them on sophmore year of HS to sophmore year of college. (what a hideous time I had to have them!)
Awesome exchange on the jeans. High Five to that deal.
Three books in a week? It is taking me about a month to finish one. I fall asleep reading to easily.
Dinner - I like trying new dishes. I hate cooking when we are rushed so I "try" to have some quick dinner ideas on hand for that sort of night. I do enjoy the meal planning.... sometimes.
We have had sick kids for two weeks here, so its been a little crazy. We re finally on the mend and Jaylin is back at preschool.
Yeah for new hair and color. I WISH I could do color right now, but since I'm pregnant.... I will settle for monotone hair for winter. *sigh* ;)
CS4??! I am so behind. I had no idea it was out. Woo hoo!! I expect some tips and tricks posted on your blog coming soon.
wow, what a week for you!
I don't need braces - blessed with perfect straight teeth - could do with whitening!
I don't mind cooking but it drives me crazy when people don't eat what I have cooked especially if there is no good reason.
No christmas cards for me this year. Made an effort last year sort of. Maybe next year!
Nordstrom is great at their returns!
Yea for the braces.
I like cooking...I used to LOVE it.
YOU WILL LOVE Wicked! LOVE IT!
and I finally bought stamps for the christmas cards this year....I normally have them sent by the first of Dec, I've been a slacker this year!!!
If I needed them, yes, I'd get braces. My step-monster, I mean step-mother, got them earlier this year and she's really happy she got them. Her teeth weren't that bad, but now they are really straight and they look great.
Yes, I hate to cook. Lately I've even been burning the mac & cheese.
No, no cards this year because the kids won't stand next to each other for a decent photo. I still have a week, so maybe I can bribe them...hmmm. That's an idea!
And...
I need a cut and a color, too. Its funny how a cut and color brightens up your whole day!
I had my hair professionally highlighted and colored last month and it is so fabulous!! I didn't get cards out....I saw New Years cards the other day...thinking about those...I would get braces anytime, my mom had them in her 50's...go for it!! I love Nordstrom too...and I haven't been commenting because of the guilt I feel for neglecting my blog!! I have been avoiding it all all together.
